We work in a complex industry that’s constantly evolving and expanding – which is part of what makes dentistry so interesting. But for new dentists, it can be an overwhelming challenge to stay on pace with the latest trends and best practices, all while recruiting new patients.
The VDA is offering a new CE series for early-career dentists that will give you a snack-sized view into the topics affecting dentistry today. Over the course of these classes, we'll dive into the challenges new dentists like yourself face and provide resources to help you solve them. We’ll cover off on implantology, interest-subjects from Richmond-area specialists, practice management experts – including marketing, financial planning and practice transition resources – pharmacology experts and courses determined by you.
Courses will be taught on Fridays from 10 a.m. – noon. It’s free for VDA members and is worth 2 CE credits. The VDA will also provide coffee and snacks for attendees.
Our first seminar is on August 24th from 10 a.m. till noon at the VDA. Dr. Sarah Glass, VCU Dentistry's newest pathology professor, will offer "The Strangest Things- Oral Pathology is Everywhere," where she’ll take us beyond the textbook and help participants design thoughtful differential diagnoses for difficult cases.
Subsequent class topics and timing will be posted to this page, so check back in over the coming weeks!
We're aiming to keep each class small, so we can dig into each topic and leave time to answer any questions you may have. Registration will be first come, first serve for the first 20 participants. When those spaces fill, we will open up a waitlist for anyone else who is interested.
Your first years in practice can be challenging – but the VDA wants to help lessen that burden. Click on the button below to sign up today!
