VDA Interim Guidelines for Re-Entry into the Dental Workplace

Governor Northam’s Executive Order on non-emergency procedures, which applies to all medical professions, is expected to expire after this Thursday, April 30. As we all prepare for the resumption of non-emergency care in our offices, we are pleased to share with you the VDA’s Interim Guidelines for Re-Entry into the Dental Workplace and related resources.

This guide, along with the recently released ADA Return to Work Interim Guidance Toolkit, aims to provide you with guidance and options to consider as you and your team return to practice.
As you begin to resume elective procedures to provide crucial care to Virginians, we hope you will:
  1. Study the guidelines laid out in both the linked VDA and ADA guidance
  2. Review and discuss these guidelines with your dental team in your office to gain feedback and to ensure everyone is on the same page
  3. Develop and implement a plan for your office with confidence
We would like to thank the VDA Back to Work Task Force, Chaired by Dr. Vince Dougherty, for their efforts to help us all prepare to get back to practice.
