Course Description (Lecture Style Webinar)
We will discuss the many clinical and non-clinical variables that contribute to Patient Experience. The aim of this course is to discuss the variables in our practices that lead to positive or negative patient experiences, how to manage negative interactions, and to develop an outline for consistently positive patient care visits. By the end of this course, participants should have a clear understanding of how Patient Experience affects clinical outcomes, practice profitability and team member retention. We will be harnessing data from social sciences as well as evidence-based dentistry, so that participants will leave with clear take-always that they can apply to their practices.

1. Motivational Interviewing in Dentistry
2. Framing Expectations
3. Communicating Empathy
4. Clear Explanation of Treatment Options

Instructor(s): Dr. Ian McLean
