The VDA is committed to supporting the American Diabetes Association in their efforts to find a cure for diabetes. So much so that VDA leaders added this partnership to the 2015 strategic plan. We're committed to walk and raise money in the Step Out Walk to stop diabetes because 29 million people in the United States have diabetes, and we know how important a healthy body is for your oral health!
Your VDA staff will be walking in the event and distributing educational materials and dental goodie bags to the public. We will also have member dentists conducting free oral cancer screenings as part of our "Where's the Chair?" campaign.
How can you show your support for your VDA staff and the American Diabetes Association?
1. Walk with us on October 17th in Richmond (Redskins Training Center).
