Virginia’s Adult Dental Medicaid Benefit goes into effect July 1, 2021. Governor Northam shared a message with dental providers in Virginia, encouraging them to learn more about Virginia’s new Adult Dental Medicaid Benefit. VDA President Dr. Frank Iuorno, Jr. sent a letter to members of the Senate Finance & Appropriations Committee and Members of the House Appropriations Committee regarding the rollout of the adult Medicaid benefit in Virginia, urging their continued attention to the adult and children’s Medicaid benefits and ensuring that they work as intended to increase access to essential dental care. The VDA will continue to solicit feedback from our members to DMAS, Governor Northam and Virginia legislators as this program moves forward.
