On Wednesday, March 28, The Tidewater Dental Association will offer a continuing education course covering the New Virginia Board of Medicine Pain Management Regulations, Urine Drug Screens, Prescription Monitoring Program, Acute vs. Post-op vs. Chronic Patients, Prescribing Naloxone, Risk Stratification Tools and Opioid Prescribing Policies.

The speaker, Dr. Steven Gershon, is currently President of Gershon Pain Specialists, LLC and has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is a nationally recognized speaker on Low Back Pain, Musculoskeletal Medicine and Myofascial Pain Syndrome.

Participants will earn 2 hours of CE credit, which will satisfy the Virginia Board of Dentistry’s 18VAC60-21-106 regulation regarding continuing education required for prescribers.

The course is free for all Tidewater Dental Association members and $50 for all non-members.
