Halloween is filled with fun, imaginative costumes and pumpkins galore, but as we all know, trick-or-treating can lead to a mouthful of cavities if patients aren’t careful. The VDA is launching a new “Trick or Teeth” campaign to help member dentists educate patients about best practices for keeping mouths cavity-free this Halloween.

Before and after Halloween, the VDA will be posting engaging educational content to promote oral health on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The images and posts can be easily re-shared on your practice’s social media channels to educate patients. In fact, we encourage it! 

If you want, you can add additional commentary to the images as you re-share. Some examples could include:

• How much candy did your kids take home this year? Follow our page for tips on how to keep mouths healthy this Halloween.
• What’s your favorite kind of Halloween candy? Make sure you keep an eye on our page for strategies to avoid cavities after trick-or-treating.
