How Does Executive Order 55 (March 30, 2020) Affect Dentistry?
VDA general counsel provided an overview of today’s Executive Order.
Governor Northam’s Executive Order 55 enforced today does NOT extend the “Order of Public Health Emergency Two” which was issued last week and is the vehicle that addresses elective procedures and surgeries. Hence, the expiration date in the Order of Public Health Emergency Two (issued last week) remains at this time April 24, 2020. The Governor is able to modify the expiration date in the Order of Public Health Emergency Two to shorten it or extend it, however; today's action does not impact the April 24 date.
