April 30 – Governor Northam has ordered dental offices and other medical service providers to postpone elective procedures through midnight on April 30, 2020. The order is mandatory and carries the weight of law. More details here. The current recommendation from the ADA is also for dentists to postpone all but urgent and emergency procedures through April 30. The VDA supports this position. 

June 10 – Governor Northam has issued a Stay at Home Order that’s currently in effect until June 10. This order does not extend the Governor’s Order of Public Health Emergency Number 2, which was the vehicle that addressed elective procedures and surgeries. Find the order and explanation here.
