8/8/2023 2:33 PM Virginia allows associations and interest groups to create customized license plates, available for purchase through the DMV, with a portion of sales proceeds going to support those non-profit causes. A VDA member brought forward the idea of a custom oral health-themed license plate to benefit the VDA Foundation (VDAF). The DMV will only produce the plates after it receives 450 applications to purchase the plate in question. A $25 annual license plate fee would send $15 per plate to support the VDAF.
