Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation is proud to announce the return of our Loan Repayment Program — a unique opportunity designed to support dentists and hygienists who are committed to serving Virginia’s most vulnerable communities.

Eligible dentists can receive up to $20,000 in student loan repayment. Eligible dental hygienists can receive up to $10,000. In both cases, participants must commit to 12 months of full-time service at a qualifying safety-net clinic or federally qualified health center in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) in Virginia.

Who is eligible? 

• Licensed dentists or dental hygienists in good standing
• Providers must currently be working full-time (32 hours/week minimum)
• Must hold an unrestricted Virginia license
• Willing to serve from January 1 to December 31, 2026, in a qualifying clinic

Total funding available: $250,000 

• Dentists: Up to $20,000
• Hygienists: Up to $10,000
