Goad Graduation

Congratulations to the VCU School of Dentistry Class of 2026!

May 11, 2026
The Virginia Dental Association was honored to participate in events this past week celebrating the VCU School of Dentistry Class of 2026 and welcoming them into the next stages of their professional careers.

On Thursday, April 30, Dr. Luiza Kreuzer shared remarks on behalf of the VDA New Dentist Committee at the annual Senior Toast, and VDA team members helped students complete their National Signing Day forms to transfer their membership from ASDA to the ADA and Tripartite membership.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Kreuzer said, in part, “I want to wish you the very best in what comes next. And wherever your next step may take you, whether it’s private practice, residency, or an entirely unexpected place, know that you always have a community of dentists across Virginia that will always have your back and support you.”

The VDA New Dentist Committee shared gifts with the Senior Class, including VDA-branded backpacks, rocks glasses, the Chairside Instructor, and the newly developed VDA Member Benefits Guide.

The hooding ceremony for the VCU School of Dentistry Class of 2026 took place on Friday, May 8, at the Dominion Energy Center Carpenter Theater in downtown Richmond. VDA President Dr. Marlon Goad delivered a keynote speech on behalf of the association.

“Dentistry is not a nine-to-five job,” said Dr. Goad. "It's a calling. It's a commitment to patient care, to excellence, to lifelong learning. So, I ask as you begin your new chapter in your life, carry that responsibility with pride. And from the VDA and from me, congratulations, doctors!"

Members of the class of 2026 who remain in Virginia will be receiving outreach in the weeks ahead to participate in local component opportunities, new member welcome events, and to take advantage of benefits available at the local, state and national level through their membership. New graduates can update their information here.
