New Chairside Tool Supports Antibiotic Prescribing Decisions
The ADA Council on Scientific Affairs has developed a new chairside tool to help dentists make evidence-based antibiotic prescribing decisions. The tool accompanies the recommendations in the ADA’s new Antibiotic Stewardship — Balancing Patient Care and Public Health clinical practice statement and provides a quick reference for determining when antibiotics may be appropriate for dental infections.
