COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

This hands-on course will guide participants through the steps required to produce an integrated “prosthetic guide” to enable the quick and accurate impression and clinical record steps in the fabrication of complete maxillary and mandibular dentures for an edentulous patient. 

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Perform a cast analysis
  2. Create maxillary and mandibular prosthetic guides
  3. Work through the clinical steps of creating all records leading to successful analog or digital manufacture of complete dentures. 
  4. Participants will be guided through the process of digital denture design, the printing of try-in dentures, the possible modifications at the try-in visit, and the delivery of milled CAD-CAM dentures. 
SPEAKER: Dr. Lyndon Cooper

Dr. Lyndon Cooper is the Dean of the Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry and Harry Lyons Professor of Prosthodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and served as the 2010 President of the American College of Prosthodontists. He previously served as Associate Dean for Research (UI Chicago), Chairperson and Graduate Program Director (UNC Chapel Hill), and President of the American College of Prosthodontists (2010). Dr. Cooper remains active in research and patient care and is focused on enhancing dental education, providing for dental therapeutic excellence, and improving access to oral health care.
