The Challenge of Esthetic Restorations for the Adolescent Patient

This course will cover some of the challenges involved in performing restorations in the esthetic zone for young patients. Adhesive strategies will be reviewed, and restorative techniques will be discussed.
OBJECTIVES:
- Provide participants with the latest materials and techniques available for esthetic restorations on adolescent patients.
- Revise concepts of adhesive and esthetic dentistry.
- Provide a rationale for conservative treatment plans on esthetically demanding cases in young patients.
Dr. Andre Reis earned his dental degree in 1999 from the Campinas State University in São Paulo, Brazil. He earned his master’s degree in Operative Dentistry in 2003 and his PhD in 2005 from the Campinas State University. Dr. Reis joined the University of Florida in 2018 as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Operative Dentistry of the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences. He has devoted the last 20 years to the practice of Dentistry, teaching, and research. His practice focuses on restoring and rehabilitating patients’ oral health, function, and smile.
